Great ambiance and staff. The beef tenderloin risotto (not pictured) was incredible. The steak cooked beyond perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed their Caesar salad as well even though I am not typically a fan of Caesar salads in other places. Don't bother getting pastas here as steak is where this place shines also don't bother with the chicken dishes. The Lord Nelson Special isn't really worth it. Also, the wine sauce with mushrooms drowns out the flavour of the steak. It's better to get two beef tenderloin risottos instead as it is cheaper, has the same amount of meat, and the risotto is better than the sides you get with your dishes.
Five Stars My family and I have been going to Lord Nelson’s in Burlington for decades, and I can’t believe I haven’t left a review until now! John and Vaso run such an amazing restaurant, and it’s clear why they’re a staple in the Burlington community! The food is always fantastic. The ravioli was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor, and the steak was tender, juicy, and just spot-on. To finish, we had the chocolate cake, which was rich and delicious—the perfect end to an already amazing meal. Lord Nelson’s has been consistently great over the years, and it’s one of those places that you just keep coming back to. If you haven’t been, do yourself a favour and go. You won’t regret it!
Our first time at Nelson Steakhouse—and definitely not our last! From the moment we walked in, Rachel gave us exceptional service: warm, attentive, and truly top-notch. She even made the best Caesar salad we’ve ever had! The steak was cooked to perfection, and the ravioli was bursting with flavor. An absolutely phenomenal experience all around. Highly recommend!
What an exceptional experience we had at the Lord Nelson. Top notch service and my Rib eye steak was grilled to perfection! Went with my family to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, friendly and very accommodating staff. From the moment we walked in the door the hostess greeted us with a big smile. Set Hours so check the times because they are not always open at usual times. It was my first time and it was great. Just what I expected. First Class Everything. I dressed up but you don’t have to...At least for lunch.
That was a fantastic Dining experience. We literally dropped in without a reservation last Friday at 8:00pm. The first impression was a bit strange the restaurant has no windows. But then: The owner welcomed us very enthusiastic, and then Valentino our waiter was very professional, helpful and entertaining. We ordered Caesar Salad prepared fresh at the table, an oaked California Chardonnay and a Chianti. Both wines were delicious - and those were just ordered by the glass. Our main courses, Supreme Chicken and Grilled Salmon very tasty and the dessert Sticky Toffee and of course an espresso in a very decorative espresso cup. When we are back in the are - we will be back.
This was an exceptional restaurant. Beautiful and intimate space, the service and atmosphere was exactly what I feel a true high end dining experience should be. The food presentation was artistic and appealing. My dish was flavourful and the portion was generous. A lovely evening.
We had dinner on Saturday for my husband’s birthday! Wow, beautiful Christmas decor! The food was outstanding, the Caesar salad is a must try if you love garlic!!! Our steaks were cooked to perfection. Thank you to our waiter Valentino for your incredible service! Will be back again!
